Updates are a necessary and very important process that must be done to keep your laptop updated. Most of the windows updates you get are security updates which updates the security files, programs and hardware files on your laptop. If you don’t install the latest updates you are leaving the door open to unwanted guests in your Laptop!
Windows Update Do not finish
Try to run and check for updates on your down time so in the evening when you are not using the laptop, go to settings and check for updates.
If you see updates downloading but will not install, you can drop the laptop to our repair shop for a free assessment. Once we have assessed it we will let you know what it needs to be fixed.
You can try to fix the updates installed already by going to settings – troubleshooting – Fix Windows Updates – When completed restart the laptop and try the updates again
This can also be a sign that there maybe something else going in your laptop. If you have virus’s on the laptop, they will try anything and everything to disrupt your file structure and this will cause an issue with the updates.
